Circulation(s) Festival 2027 — 17th Edition Open Call

Circulation(s) is one of Europe's longest-running festivals dedicated to emerging photography, organized by the Fetart collective and held annually at CENTQUATRE-Paris in eastern Paris, with off-site programming and tours across France and Europe. The 2027 edition will be the festival's 17th, scheduled for spring 2027.

The open call is intentionally broad. There is no age limit, no training requirement, and no theme. All forms of photographic writing are welcome — including projects that mix formats or incorporate video, installation, or sound. Group projects are accepted. Selection prioritizes aesthetic quality and the relevance of the artistic purpose.

Eligibility is restricted to photographers of European nationality and/or resident in Europe, at the start of their careers, with no prior major exhibition in France. AI-generated imagery must be explicitly disclosed in the application.

Approximately 15 photographers are selected for the festival exhibition. Pre-selection happens in summer 2026; final selection in September 2026; results communicated mid-October; artist names announced in November 2026.

Application is through the festival's online portal via Picter. The early-bird window (April 28 – May 24, 2026) is free; the standard window (May 25 – June 7, 2026) costs €20. The deadline is June 7, 2026 at midnight.
