Call for Proposals 2027

LHUCA invites exhibition proposals for its 2027–2028 gallery season in Lubbock, Texas. Four galleries are available and each exhibition runs two consecutive months. All visual art media are accepted, including photography. Free to apply: submit a PDF with 5–10 digital images, an artist statement of up to 500 words, contact details and preferred dates. An artist stipend is available for travelling artists, and work can be for sale or not. Proposals are encouraged but not required to respond to the character of a particular gallery; floor plans are published alongside the call. Artists who have exhibited with LHUCA before can only reapply every five years. The galleries draw an estimated 5,000-plus visitors a month during the First Friday Art Trail.
