Queer Spirit

Open call from Blackfish Gallery, the artist-run cooperative gallery founded in 1979 in Portland's Pearl District, for Queer Spirit, a group exhibition running January 6–30, 2027. The gallery invites greater Portland-based artists whose work engages with queer identity, community, and imagination — across all backgrounds — for a celebration of resilience, belonging, and radical imagination. Submissions may directly address queer identity, explore the broader possibilities of queerness, or reflect the perspectives of queer artists; work across all media is welcome, with particular interest in experimental, thought-provoking, and installation-based practices.
