26th Annual Juried Fine Art Show & Sale

A three-day juried show and sale run by the Rockwall Art League in North Texas, open to artists across a five-state region — Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Louisiana and New Mexico — and now in its 26th year. Photography is one of eight judged categories, alongside oil, watercolour, acrylic, mixed media, mosaic, drawing and sculpture, and up to $6,600 in cash prizes is awarded across them — $1,000 for Best in Show, $500 and $200 for first and second in each category, plus a run of ribbon-only special awards. The two judges are Dana Brock, an abstract and mixed-media painter and Signature Member of the Southwestern Watercolor Society, and Rachel Townsend Cerny, founder of RTown Gallery in historic downtown Grapevine, Texas. The League says it exists to give both established and emerging artists a platform, and the event puts work in front of collectors and business representatives from across the DFW metroplex. Open to artists 18 and over; work must be original and made after 1 January 2024, and compositions based on published material, other artists' work, or generated with AI are not eligible. Work made in a class or workshop is out, as is anything containing nudes, conspicuously religious content, drug references or blatant political statements. Up to two works per artist, submitted with two to five images. New for 2026: hand delivery only — shipped work is not accepted — 2D pieces capped at 36 x 36 inches including frame, sculpture under 50 lbs, and a new venue at The Center at Rockwall City Place. Notifications go out 26 September; take-in is the morning of 16 October and the show runs 16–18 October 2026, with awards announced at the 16 October reception and final awards on the 18th.
