Annual Photography Awards 2026
Now in its eighth edition, Annual Photography Awards is a worldwide competition open to professionals, amateurs, and students aged 18 and over. Submissions are accepted across five main categories — Architecture, Fine Art, Nature, People, and Special — with 25 subcategories in total. The Special category covers Aerial & Drone, Analog/Film, Minimalism, Night Photography, and Open; the People category includes Documentary, Portrait, Street, Body & Nudes, and Travel & Culture. Each subcategory has its own award track, so a photographer can be a category winner without competing across genres.
The cash prize pool is $5,000, distributed as a $2,500 Grand Prize plus five $500 Category Photographer of the Year awards. Beyond cash, winners and honorable mentions receive downloadable medals and certificates and inclusion in an online gallery on the awards site. Entries are judged anonymously by a panel of 20+ international photographers.
Entry fees follow a tiered structure: $25 for a single image or $35 for a series of up to 8 images at the early bird rate (deadline June 7, 2026), rising to $30 single / $40 series at final deadline (December 13, 2026). The contest is restricted to legal worldwide residents who are the original authors of submitted work. There is no nomination process; artists submit directly through the awards site.
