12th Annual International Open Call
Rhode Island Center for Photographic Arts (RICPA) is a Providence-based nonprofit photography gallery and educational center. The Annual International Open Call is its flagship juried exhibition, surveying contemporary photographic practice without a thematic prompt. The 2026 edition is the 12th cycle.
Selection is by an external juror each year. The 2026 juror is Crista Dix, Executive Director of the Griffin Museum of Photography in Winchester, Massachusetts.
The exhibition runs at RICPA's gallery in Providence, July 16 – August 15, 2026, with the opening reception on July 16. Cash prizes are $250 (first), $150 (second), $75 (third). Eligibility is open globally to photographers 18+ working in any photographic process or technique.
Submission is through CaFÉ with 3–15 images per entry. Fee is $45, with a 20% discount for RICPA members. If selected, work must be exhibition-ready — maximum 48 inches including frame, delivered by July 11.
The 2026 deadline was May 3; results announced July 2026.
