ZRNO Festival 2026 — Open Call

ZRNO Festival is an international festival of alternative photography held in Skopje, North Macedonia. The festival is process-restricted by design: it focuses on analog and noble processes — cyanotype, wet plate, collodion, and experimental techniques. The 2026 theme is Unfocus to see.

The brief accepts both single works and cohesive bodies of work. Submitted work must engage with at least one alternative process — not standard digital or film capture.

The 2026 jury reflects the festival's focus on alternative and noble processes: Anne-Mette S. Sommer-Kelter (Polaroid photographer), Drago Vejnovic (Professor, Academy of Arts Banja Luka), Eva Schlogl (visual artist and architect), Pep Minguez (Director, Revela'T Festival), Ivana Brezovac (Professor, Academy of Arts Novi Sad), Natasa Takac (visual and media artist), Florian Kopr (photographer and printmaker), and Sasho Alushevski (alternative photographer).

Selection results in inclusion in the festival exhibition. Submission is by email with up to 4 images. Fee is €21. The 2026 deadline was April 20; results announced May 15, 2026.
