White: Absence of Color
White: Absence of Color is one of Midwest Center for Photography's themed juried exhibitions in Wichita, Kansas. The exhibition runs January 9–25, 2027.
The brief is restrictive in palette but open in approach: photography emphasizing the lightest end of the color spectrum, with minimal color saturation. The premise is achromatic image-making — high-key, washed-out, snow-bound, paper-white — where the absence of color does the psychological work. All photographic media are welcome.
Selected artists' work is physically printed and framed by MWCP for gallery display — production costs are absorbed by the gallery.
Eligibility is open internationally. Submission is by email with 5–10 images. Fee is $50 for 5 images. The deadline is October 1, 2026.
