The Unexpected

A regional juried show at Ashton Gallery inside San Diego's Art on 30th complex, on view August 22 – September 25, 2026, juried by Connect SD gallery owner Robert Plume. Sought: artwork that embraces unpredictability, accidents, transformation and unexpected outcomes. Photography is explicitly welcomed alongside 2D and pedestal-scale 3D work; no digital art, reproductions or AI-generated artwork (limited-edition photographic prints excepted). Enter digitally or drop off in person — jurors prefer in-person, and accepted online entries must be delivered to the gallery by Monday, August 17. All works must be for sale; the gallery takes 50% commission. Opening reception August 22.
