The PASEO 2027 Biennial

Twelfth edition of the outdoor festival that turns the streets of the Taos Historic District into a night-time gallery of installation, projection and performance, across the evenings of Friday and Saturday, September 17–18, 2027. Around twenty works are selected. The 2027 theme is Convergence — movement toward connection, the dynamic space between individuality and collectivity where difference, contradiction and multiplicity coexist; rivers converge without abandoning their sources, cultures converge while carrying memory forward. Work must be immersive, site-responsive and/or participatory, built for outdoor viewing after dark, and already fully realised: The PASEO does not fund new commissions or undeveloped concepts. Selected artists receive a stipend of $500–$3,000 for standard projects, rising to $5,000–$15,000 for larger works depending on scope and impact, with travel, lodging, shipping, installation assistance and equipment covered and an artist fee set to W.A.G.E. standards. Artists must be present from sunset to 11pm on both nights, and are invited to propose adult and youth workshops, lectures and forums as part of the application. Open to emerging, mid-career and professional artists over 21 from anywhere in the world.
