Summertime: Long Days, Lazy Days, Gentle Breezes

The second Juried Theme Gallery call of 2026 from the Arizona Photography Alliance, a Scottsdale-based non-profit now in its third year of online juried exhibitions. The brief is deliberately broad — summer as long days, lazy days and gentle breezes — and work in any medium is welcome, analogue, digital or alternative process, though AI-generated photography is not accepted. Independent juror Claire A. Warden, an interdisciplinary artist working in still and moving image whose cameraless abstraction has appeared in Harper's Magazine, Der Greif, Strange Fire Collective, Lenscratch and Light Work's Contact Sheet, selects one first-place winner for a $100 cash award plus two honourable mentions featured on AZPA's website and social channels. Every entrant is represented in the resulting virtual gallery — the juror picks one image from each submission — and all entrants may offer their chosen image for sale, handling any transaction directly. Open to members and non-members alike; joining brings the fee down to $25. AZPA board members may not enter. Submissions run August 1–16, 2026 through CaFÉ, with notifications on 30 August and the gallery going live on 1 September.
