SUB(SCAPE) — Manifest Gallery Season 22

Manifest Gallery is a Cincinnati-based nonprofit creative research gallery. The 2026 SUB(SCAPE) exhibition is part of the gallery's 22nd season — a long-running annual program of themed shows.

The brief is interpretive: what lies beneath the visible — structural, psychological, geological, social, or conceptual systems that sustain or destabilize the world above. The framing crosses disciplines and registers, leaving artists wide latitude.

Selected work is shown at Manifest Gallery in Cincinnati, July 10 – August 7, 2026. Open to all media including photography.

Notable practical terms: every exhibiting artist receives a $50 honorarium — payment for selection, not just inclusion. Plus, one selected work receives a $1,000 Grand Jury Award. Artists receive 70% on sales (above the typical 50% gallery split).

Submission is through the gallery's website with up to 3 entries for $45, $5 per additional image. The 2026 deadline was March 29; results announced June 1, 2026.
