Solo Statement — Doesn't Play Well with Others is a one-night solo takeover of Bushwick Gallery in Brooklyn. The structural premise is unusual: rather than a group show, one artist gets the full gallery space for a single night to transform completely — no shared walls, no compromise.

The brief is open across mediums: photography, installation, performance, digital. No prior gallery experience required.

What's offered: professional photography of the show, a press release, and promotional support from the gallery. The exhibition runs one night on April 17, 2026.

Each application includes an artist statement (150 words), creative vision for the space, 3–5 recent work images, and two artistic influences.

Eligibility is open. Submission is through the gallery's website. Fee is $25. The 2026 deadline was March 27.
