Small Matters

Blind-juried open call for work at an intimate scale, shown at Carter Burden Gallery in Chelsea, New York (548 West 28th Street) from November 19 to December 16, 2026. Two-dimensional work including the frame must measure at least 5 inches and no more than 15 inches in any direction; three-dimensional pedestal pieces must stay under 10 inches and 50 lbs. Jurors are artist-curator Beth Barry and reportage artist Veronica Lawlor. The gallery is part of the Carter Burden Network and particularly encourages artists over the age of 60, though the call is open to all US visual artists over 18. Works on paper must be framed under plexiglass, white or natural wood frames preferred. The gallery takes no commission on sales.
