Preserving the Spirit

A juried photography exhibition marking the 100th anniversary of Route 66, presented by artCentral in Carthage, Missouri — itself a Route 66 town. The call invites photographers to capture the highway in all its forms: neon-lit motels, vintage gas stations, vast landscapes, small-town main streets and the people who embody the road's enduring character. Creative edits are allowed, but work must be photographic, Route 66 inspired, framed and wired for hanging, and available for sale. Open to photographers 18 and over nationwide; up to three works may be submitted for jury consideration. The exhibition runs September 25 – October 30, 2026.
