SIYU Award 2026
The SIYU Award is the rebranded successor to the vfg Young Talent Award — a Swiss photography prize for young photographers. The 2026 edition is the first under the new SIYU name.
Cash prizes are awarded through the Alois Ottiger Grant, established in memory of Swiss photographer Alois Ottiger (1941–2025). Total prize pool is CHF 10,000 across three winners. Ten finalists are exhibited in a group show at Photobastei Zurich, with a published catalogue.
Eligibility is restricted to young Swiss photographers (under 40, with Swiss residency or nationality requirements). Submissions are made anonymously — the jury reviews work blind. Theme is free; all fields of photography are eligible. AI-generated work is accepted.
The 2026 jury is Virginie Otth (photographer and visual artist), Bassma El Adissey (freelance curator), and Gregor Brandli (filmmaker and photographer).
Submission is through Picter with 3–8 images. Fee is CHF 50. The 2026 deadline was April 30; results announced June 13, 2026.
