Seen / Unseen
Decagon Gallery is an online curatorial platform that runs themed photography exhibitions with published catalogs and social distribution. "Seen / Unseen" is the gallery's open call for work that engages with the relationship between what is shown and what is implied — exploring presence, absence, suggestion, concealment, and the visual languages that point at things without quite revealing them.
The selection structure is online-first. Selected photographers are featured in a curated online exhibition with a published catalog distributed through Decagon's mailing list and social channels. All accepted artists receive a certificate of participation and a digital badge for portfolio use. The first-place winner additionally receives a solo webpage exhibition on the gallery site.
Cash awards total $1,000 across the top placements. The 2026 cycle is juried by Ann M. Jastrab. Eligibility is open to photographers worldwide aged 18 and over.
Entry fee is $25 per submission of up to 8 images. The 2026 deadline is July 8, with results announced July 21.
