Sarajevo Photography Festival 2026

Sarajevo Photography Festival is the international photography festival held annually in Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina. The 2026 opening week runs June 1–7.

The festival's competition runs across eight categories. Total prize fund is approximately €7,000, with the Grand Prix awarding €2,000 cash. Canon sponsors a set of professional-tier awards within the program. AI-generated work is not accepted.

The 2026 jury draws from European photography festival directors and contemporary art figures: Simone Azzoni (Professor of Contemporary Art History, also Co-Founder of Grenze Festival), Marko Drobnjaković (documentary photographer), Teresa Freitas (Director, Lisbon Street Photo Fest), Šejla Kamerić (visual artist), Timotej Letonja (Founder & Editor-in-Chief, Numéro Netherlands), Coline Plançon (curator and coordinator, PhotoSaintGermain), Fernanda Prado Verčič (Director, Kranj Foto Fest), and Ionuț Trandafirescu (Director, Bucharest Photofest).

Eligibility is open to photographers 16+ globally. Submission is through the festival's website with 1–6 images. Fee is tiered €15–€30. The 2026 deadline was April 10.
