REMEDY Photo Festival — Open Call 2026
REMEDY Photo Festival is a UK photography festival focused on health, care, lived experience, and representation. The festival is held in Lincoln, with additional venues across Lincolnshire.
The brief is broad inside its category: photographic work exploring health in its widest sense — physical, mental, chronic, invisible, communal, or systemic. The festival welcomes personal stories, portraiture, documentary, photojournalism, and fine art photography. There's an explicit editorial preference: work by photographers with lived experience of long-term health conditions is particularly encouraged.
Past featured photographers include Anthony Luvera and JA Mortram — both UK documentary photographers whose work intersects with vulnerable communities.
Selection structure: selected artists are included in a curated group exhibition at a photography gallery in Lincoln, with additional venues across Lincolnshire. No entry fee and no cost to exhibit — printing and display costs are covered by the festival.
Submission is by Google Form with 6–10 images. Eligibility is open globally. The 2026 deadline was April 25; longlist announced May 4, 2026; exhibition June 1–30, 2026.
