PURE ABSTRACTION

Art Fluent is a Boston-based curatorial platform (1 Washington Mall #1218, Boston, MA 02108) that runs themed online juried exhibitions across fine art mediums. "PURE ABSTRACTION" is the platform's open call for work that lets shape, color, line, texture, and form stand on their own — work that is not bound by representation.

Cash prizes total $1,250: a Best of Show award of $750 and two Director's Choice awards of $250 each. Beyond cash, all accepted work is displayed in the online gallery on art-fluent.com, with sales going through the platform at 100% commission to the artist. The selection is curated by Creative Director Amy Matteson Neill and an anonymous committee.

Entry fee is $25 for the first work and $10 each additional, up to 20 submissions per artist. Open globally to amateur and professional artists; AI-generated work is not accepted, and work made under instructor guidance or copied from other sources is excluded. Submissions go through CaFÉ (callforentry.org), which requires a free artist account.

Art Fluent does not provide individualized rejection feedback. The 2026 deadline is August 28 (midnight MST), with notification on September 25, 2026.
