HER.SELF

Art Fluent is a Boston-based curatorial platform (1 Washington Mall #1218, Boston, MA 02108) that runs themed online juried exhibitions across fine art mediums. "HER.SELF" is the platform's open call for work honoring women in all their complexities — the brief language emphasizes presence, resilience, beauty, and becoming, with no restriction on whether the artist or the subject is a woman.

Cash prizes total $1,250: a Best of Show award of $750 and two Director's Choice awards of $250 each. Beyond cash, all accepted work is displayed in the online gallery on art-fluent.com, with sales going through the platform at 100% commission to the artist. The selection is curated by Creative Director Amy Matteson Neill and an anonymous committee.

Entry fee is $25 for the first work and $10 each additional, up to 20 submissions per artist. Open globally to amateur and professional artists; AI-generated work is not accepted, and work made under instructor guidance or copied from other sources is excluded. Submissions go through CaFÉ (callforentry.org), which requires a free artist account.

Art Fluent does not provide individualized rejection feedback. The 2026 deadline is July 17 (midnight MST), with notification on August 21.
