Prix Mustaqbal 2026 — Momentum

Prix Mustaqbal is administered by Fondation TGCC, a Moroccan foundation focused on emerging contemporary creation. The foundation is led by president Meryem Bouzoubaa, and the prize was established in 2021 — the 2026 cycle is the sixth edition. The 2026 theme is "Momentum."

Eligibility is restricted to artists aged 18–35 who are either Moroccan citizens or foreign residents of Morocco. Both trained and self-taught artists are welcome. Eligible media: drawing, painting, installation, photography, and sound art.

Three winners are selected from approximately 15 finalists who exhibit at Artorium in Casablanca. Cash prizes are awarded in Moroccan dirhams (specific amounts are not published on the public landing page). The first-place winner receives an additional substantial prize package: an artist residency at Jardin Rouge (the well-known Moroccan residency) plus two duo-shows — one in Paris (spring 2027) and one at Artorium (November 2027).

Selection is two-phase: initial portfolio review by a panel of artists, professionals, and art critics, then in-person jury defense for finalists. Winners enter a one-year contract with the foundation that includes residency participation, social media content creation, roundtable participation, and children's workshops.

There is no application fee. Applications are made via email and SwissTransfer with 4 to 8 images. The 2026 application window runs February 16 through May 16; exhibition and winner announcement in September 2026.
