Portrait Awards 2026

Dodho Magazine is a Barcelona-based contemporary photography magazine. The Portrait Awards is one of its themed annual competitions. The 2026 edition is the fourth cycle. The brief celebrates portrait as a space of presence, responsibility, and authorship amidst visual saturation — framing portraiture as a counter-practice to image overproduction.

The 2026 jury draws from the international photography ecosystem: Aline Smithson (Founder & Editor, Lenscratch), Burkhard Arnold (Gallery Director, in focus Galerie), Erin Hoyt (Executive Director, Filter Photo Festival), and Roger Ballen (photographer).

Selected work is published by Dodho Magazine.

Eligibility is open globally. Submission is through Dodho's website with 3, 6, or 12 images. Fee is tiered €30–€60 based on submission scale. The 2026 deadline was April 15; results announced May 1–3, 2026.
