Pine Meadow Ranch 2027 Artist Residency

Pine Meadow Ranch Center for Arts & Agriculture (PMRCAA) is a residency program of the Roundhouse Foundation, set on a working ranch in Sisters, Oregon, in the high desert of central Oregon about 20 miles from Bend. The program brings together artists, makers, and researchers around the intersection of art, agriculture, and the land.

Residencies run two or four weeks between March and mid-November. A cohort of two to four residents shares a large historic home, each with a private bedroom and a private studio adapted to one of nine medium-specific spaces. Residents receive a $200 per week stipend to offset living and travel costs, with up to $300 in additional travel reimbursement for those living more than 1,000 miles away. There are no application or residency fees.

The 2027 cycle is themed "Process and Material" and welcomes a wide range of disciplines, with photography (digital) explicitly listed as eligible. Applications are submitted through SlideRoom and evaluated by panels of external reviewers established in fields associated with PMRCAA's mission. The deadline is July 6, 2026 at midnight PST; finalist interviews take place in mid-August and residency decisions are announced in September 2026.
