periscope:project:space Open Call 2027

periscope is an artist-run project space in Salzburg that has been programming exhibitions, performances and site-specific work since 2014, and it is assembling its 2027 season through an open call to Austrian and international visual artists. Three lines of interest are named: solo presentations of an artist's own practice shown as premieres, projects that respond to the space or the site itself, and performance as part of an artistic practice. Depending on the project, periscope covers production costs, pays expenses for transport, travel and accommodation, and pays an exhibition fee — an unusually concrete offer for a small independent space. Submissions are digital only and consist of documentation of the work, a proposal or sketches of up to 400 words, and a CV. There is no entry fee and no theme beyond the three interest areas; past programmes have included lens-based and photographic projects alongside installation and sound work.
