NOVA24 2026 Project Open Call

NOVA24 is an indie photo and film festival in Detroit, founded in 2023 to connect Detroit's lens-based creative community with international audiences. The 2026 edition is the festival's third cycle.

The format is multi-venue and multi-medium: festival programming runs June 26 – July 31, 2026 across multiple Detroit venues, with indoor and outdoor projection galleries, mural installations, gallery exhibitions, film screenings, and artist talks. Selected projects can land in any of these formats depending on fit.

The brief is open in subject but oriented toward experimental and innovative work — selection priority is for photographers and filmmakers pushing form rather than conventional documentary or commercial output.

Eligibility is open globally. Submission is through the festival's website with 7–10 images. The fee structure is donation-based: $10 donation requested, free entry available for photographers with limited income.

The 2026 deadline was April 22.
