Marco Pesaresi Award for Contemporary Photography 2026

25th edition of the Premio Marco Pesaresi, promoted by the Municipality of Savignano sul Rubicone in partnership with the Municipality of Rimini and organized with Savignano Immagini APS, the association behind SI FEST. Honoring Rimini-born photographer Marco Pesaresi, the award supports photo-reportage marked by research, intentionality and innovation in contemporary photography and visual culture. Photographers of any age and nationality submit a portfolio of up to 20 images, preferably on a single theme, proposing a project they intend to complete with the €5,000 prize; work that has already had a definitive exhibition or book form is not eligible, and early-stage ideas may be entered in project form accompanied by an earlier portfolio. The prize money, paid in two installments, must be used for project expenses such as travel, production, permits and collaborations, and the completed project is exhibited at the following edition of SI FEST in 2027. AI-generated imagery is admitted only if its use is explicitly declared. The winner is notified privately by September 4 and proclaimed during the opening weekend of SI FEST's 35th edition (September 11–13, 2026), then joins the jury that selects the next edition's winner.
