Lubbock Arts Festival Juried Gallery 2027
Juried gallery of the 49th Lubbock Arts Festival, held April 10–11, 2027 in the Lubbock Memorial Civic Center and open to artists working in any fine art medium, photography included. Entries must be original in design and execution, completed within the last two years, and not made in a workshop or under supervision; each artist may enter up to ten works, of which no more than three will be shown. Juror Rob Weingart has taught foundations, 2D and 3D art at West Texas A&M University for the past decade and previously worked in the gallery and museum world in New York, Chicago and London, with a BFA from the University of North Texas and an MFA from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. Up to $1,000 in cash prizes is awarded at the juror's discretion. Accepted work must be hand delivered — shipped artwork is not accepted — ready to hang securely on wire with no sawtooth hangers, no larger than 44 x 72 inches framed and under 35 pounds. All work must be for sale at the submitted price with sales tax included; the Lubbock Arts Alliance retains a 33 1/3% commission, and artists must obtain a Texas sales tax number in order to enter.
