LSI Women in Photography Grant 2026

The LSI Women in Photography Grant is the Leica Society International's annual project-completion grant for women photographers. The 2026 theme is Where We Stand — seeking work rooted in lived experience, proximity, trust-based relationships, and ethical representation. The brief favors documentary and personal-project work over staged or commercial photography.

The grant supports completing an in-progress personal project rather than starting from scratch. Applicants submit a project proposal and budget alongside the work itself.

The award is generous: $10,000 cash plus a new Leica camera and lens from Leica North America. Importantly, the grant has no equipment-brand requirement — applicants do not need to use a Leica camera or be LSI members. It's a brand-supported but not brand-restricted prize.

Application is capped: limited to the first 100 applicants. Eligibility is open globally to women photographers 18+. Submission is through Picter with 10 images, artist statement, project proposal, and budget.

Fee is $35. The 2026 deadline was April 24; results announced May 29, 2026.
