I Can Buy Myself Flowers

HAZE Gallery is the curatorial platform of PURPLEHAZE Magazine. The 2026 open call I Can Buy Myself Flowers is a pop-up exhibition in Amsterdam timed to the launch of PURPLEHAZE Print Issue 012.

The brief works through related themes: autonomy as identity, rituals of independence, intimacy turned inward, beauty chosen rather than granted, solitude as clarity, and desire as self-directed. The framing is feminist-adjacent without being narrowly gender-restricted in eligibility — the brief asks for work that engages with self-direction and inwardness.

Accepted work spans fashion, fine art, and documentary photography, plus works on paper, fine art prints, and short looping video — multidisciplinary by design.

Selection is by Irina Rusinovich, founder and curator of HAZE Gallery. Selected artists participate in the June 2026 Amsterdam pop-up exhibition and may be published in the print issue.

Submission is through the gallery's website with 3–5 images. Fee is €35. Eligibility is open globally. The 2026 deadline was April 16; results announced June 2026.
