Human Depiction

Human Depiction is a portrait-themed juried exhibition at Midwest Center for Photography (MWCP) in Wichita, Kansas. The 2026 edition runs May 1–25.

The brief asks for photographs that capture the essence of human subjects — emotional gestures, visual expressions, and the full range of personality. Individual images are evaluated on their own merit rather than as portfolios.

Selected artists' work is physically printed and framed by MWCP for gallery display — production costs are absorbed by the gallery.

Eligibility is open internationally. Submission is by email with 5+ images. Fee is $50 for 5 images. The 2026 deadline was April 10.
