Griffin Museum — Handmade Photobook Exhibition 2026
The Handmade Photobook Exhibition is the Griffin Museum of Photography's annual call for handcrafted photobooks — books where the artist's hand shapes the object itself rather than relying on commercial production. The 2026 edition is the second cycle.
The brief distinguishes the show from the museum's Self Published Photobook Exhibition: this one foregrounds the physical making of the book. Hand-bound, hand-sewn, hand-stamped, hand-pasted — the structural focus is artisanal book objects.
Selection is by Caleb Cain Marcus of Luminosity Lab.
Selected handmade photobooks are exhibited at the Griffin Gallery in Winchester, Massachusetts.
Eligibility is open globally. Submission is through CaFÉ with up to 3 photobooks per applicant. Fee is $45. The 2026 deadline was March 31; results announced after May 1, 2026.
Jury: Caleb Cain Marcus, Luminosity Lab
