Grenze Arsenali Fotografici 2026 Open Call

Grenze – Arsenali Fotografici is an international photography festival held annually in Verona, Italy. The 2026 edition is the festival's ninth. The festival's open call selects three artists for exhibition during the festival opening in September 2026.

The 2026 theme is Nachleben — a German term taken from Aby Warburg's art-historical vocabulary, referring to the afterlife or survival of images and forms across time. The brief invites work that thinks photography in relation to memory, persistence, and the recurrence of visual motifs.

The 2026 jury draws from a network of European photography festival directors: Aida Redžepagić & Jelena Janković (Sarajevo Photography Festival), David Pujado (founder of Belgrade Photo Month), Marta Szymanska (director of Fotofestiwal in Łódź), and Grenze's own Simone Azzoni (Co-Founder and Artistic Director) and Francesca Marra (President).

Submission is by email with 10–20 images. Fee is €28. The 2026 deadline was April 30; results announced May 30, 2026.
