Fresh Eyes x Hungry Eye vol. 2

Fresh Eyes is an emerging-photographer platform powered by GUP Magazine, the Amsterdam-based international photography magazine. The 2026 cycle is the second collaboration with Hungry Eye Fair — Amsterdam's photography art fair — making this an unusual two-organization partnership rather than a standalone open call.

Selected artists receive a minimum of four pages in a softcover publication with international distribution to galleries, curators, agencies, and media, plus promotion through both GUP and Fresh Eyes editorial channels. Each selected photographer also has one image displayed in the group exhibition at Hungry Eye Fair, Amsterdam (September 2026), and receives two free entry tickets to the fair.

Beyond the publication and exhibition, selected photographers receive three free copies of the publication and portfolio review opportunities with industry-side reviewers. Three Exceptional Talent Award winners receive free publication inclusion (waiving the participation fee).

The submission model is free to apply, pay-only-if-selected: selected participants pay a €350 participation fee (excluding VAT and shipping). The fee covers print production and book distribution.

Selection is by a jury of GUP editors, gallerists, and photographers. Eligibility is open globally to emerging photographers. Each applicant submits 15 images. The 2026 deadline is May 20, 2026; results announced September 2026.
