Fotografiska Emerging Artist Platform

Fotografiska's emerging program is structured around continuous open calls plus rotating themed cycles. The "Foto of the Day" track runs weekly: seven images selected from open submissions, featured on Fotografiska's website and social channels. Themed calls run alongside it, with regional eligibility for some — Sweden-only for the Stockholm shows, Baltics-and-Finland for Tallinn — and global eligibility for others.

Selected work has been shown at Fotografiska's museum locations in Berlin, Stockholm, and Tallinn. The platform doesn't publish guaranteed compensation; outcomes vary by call. Submissions are free, limited to three images per cycle, and AI-generated work is excluded.

The platform's permanent jury includes James Nachtwey and Pauline Benthede, Fotografiska's VP of Artistic Direction. Themed calls bring in additional jurors specific to each theme. The "Home" call is currently open with a July 12, 2026 deadline; "Foto of the Day" remains continuous.
