Fotograf Zone Festival — International Open Call

Open call for photographic projects to be exhibited on poster panels in the busy concourse of Můstek metro station at Wenceslas Square in central Prague, during the 16th Fotograf Zone Festival, running 1–11 October 2026 under the title Wild Kin. Four projects are selected; the festival covers all costs for production, printing, installation and photodocumentation of the exhibition. Work should relate loosely to the festival theme, which asks how we perceive others — both human and non-human — and where the boundaries between humans, animals, environments and technologies lie. The exhibition space consists of sixteen vitrines measuring 147 × 75 cm, four of which are given to the selected artists. Entry is by email with three PDFs: a CV and short bio of up to 500 characters, a portfolio of previous work up to 10 MB, and a project description of up to 1,500 characters with images, also up to 10 MB, each file labelled Surname_Name plus document type. There is no limit on how many projects one author may submit, but the participation fee applies per project, and it is paid by bank transfer to the organisers rather than by card. The international jury is Lucie Černá, a Czech curator, editor and founder of untitled, an independent publishing house and platform for photography and visual art; Karina Golisová, a Slovak photographer working in documentary practices who studied at AFAD Bratislava and FAMU; Lovro Japundžić, a Zagreb-based curator whose work explores the interplay between performance and visual art; and Amelie Rose Schüle, director of Photoforum Pasquart in Biel/Bienne since 2023. Fotograf Zone has connected photography communities from Prague outward since 2002 as a magazine, gallery and international festival.
