FFSP 2026 — Italian Photographers Open Call

FFSP 2026 is the open call for Italian photographers running as part of the São Paulo Photography Festival 2026, organized by the Italian Cultural Institute of São Paulo. The call functions as a Brazil/Italy cultural-exchange mechanism — connecting Italian photographers in both countries with the major Brazilian photography festival.

Selection structure: fifteen photographers are selected for a free exhibition in May 2026 as part of the festival's official programme. From the fifteen, one finalist receives a round-trip flight between Brazil and Italy and official participation in FFSP 2026 — practical funding to attend the festival in person.

Eligibility is restricted by nationality: Italian citizens of legal age residing in either Brazil or Italy. The brief is open in subject — submit 1 to 5 photographs on any theme.

Selection is by Margherita Marziali (Vice-Director, Italian Cultural Institute of São Paulo), Lillo Teodoro Guarneri (Director and Cultural Attaché, Italian Cultural Institute of São Paulo), and João Kulcsár (Director, São Paulo Photography Festival).

Submission is through Google Forms. Application is free. The 2026 deadline was April 19; results announced May 2026.
