Fabula Works — Duo/Solo Show in Rome

Fabula Works is a curatorial platform launching its inaugural open call in 2026. The first call is for a five-week exhibition at Millepiani Gallery in Rome — running June 26 through July 31, 2026, with an opening reception June 26 at 6 PM. The gallery is open Monday through Friday, 9 AM to 7 PM, with free admission.

Two photographers are selected for the exhibition. The organizers note they reserve the right to present a solo exhibition instead if a single submission warrants it — a deliberate flexibility built into the inaugural call rather than a fixed two-artist format.

There is no thematic restriction. All photography genres are welcome. Selection is based on curatorial coherence and artistic strength — applicants submit 10 to 25 photographs as a cohesive series, two cohesive series, or a curated selection.

Selected photographers receive: full coverage of printing costs, exhibition promotion, and gallery installation. The €25 application fee is described as a non-refundable contribution rather than a competitive submission charge.

Eligibility requires applicants to be 18 or over. Submissions consist of a portfolio PDF, artist biography, and artist statement. AI-generated images are not accepted. The 2026 deadline is Sunday May 17 at 23:59 CET.
