European Month of Photography Berlin 2027
Open call for the 2027 edition of EMOP Berlin, one of Europe's largest photography festivals, organised by Kulturprojekte Berlin and staged across the city from 4 March to 4 April 2027. Museums, galleries, archives, libraries, cultural institutes, universities, and individual photographers or collectives may propose a photography or lens-based exhibition; individual artists must have or secure a Berlin exhibition space, and organisations based outside Berlin must partner with a Berlin venue. Selected projects join the official festival programme and receive promotion across the festival's website, social media, and printed guide. Participation is free with no fee, but EMOP does not fund project costs — applicants arrange their own venue and funding. Proposals may respond to the 2027 leitmotif 'Common Ground. Letters from Europe,' though this is optional. Applications are submitted through an online form and reviewed confidentially by a jury including the festival's Artistic Director, with decisions announced in September 2026.
