ESC 2036 — 0—1 Gallery Open Call

0—1 Gallery is a contemporary art gallery in The Hague, Netherlands. "ESC 2036" is the gallery's annual open call inviting artists to imagine roughly ten years ahead — keeping in mind the pressure points of now: climate, extraction, technology, and what it means to remain human inside all of that.

The brief is interpretive and broad: nature, technology, or human existence in any combination. Subtle gestures and monumental systems are equally welcome — the call doesn't favor either intimate or large-scale work, only that it engage with the future-projecting frame.

All forms are eligible: photography, new media, painting, sculpture, installation, performance, sound, graphics, video, mixed media, AR/VR, and writing. The call is unusually inclusive in describing eligibility — "open to everyone" with age, gender, location, and background explicitly not used as filters. Artists at any career stage from any country can apply.

Selection is for a curated group exhibition at 0—1 Gallery in the Netherlands, scheduled for 2026–2027. Selected artists also receive visibility through the gallery's website and social media channels.

Submission is free. Each applicant submits a single link to their portfolio, website, or project page (rather than image attachments) via Google Form. The 2026 deadline is May 20, 2026; results announced June 20.
