Changing Seasons
National juried exhibition at MVA Gallery (Modern Visual Arts) in historic Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, on seasonal change as a transformative force. The gallery invites three layers of response: nature (landscapes and seascapes through the year, the rhythms of growth, transition and decay), human activity (swimming, skiing, picnicking, gardening — or figures struggling against weather and terrain), and emotional effect (spring as renewal, summer as freedom, autumn as melancholy, winter as isolation). Photography and photo-based work are accepted alongside painting, printmaking, mixed media, drawing and sculpture. Open to US residents 18 and over; submit 3 to 9 works. Awards include a $200 Director's Choice, an Art of Distinction award with a special exhibit in the gallery's second exhibition room, an honorable mention carrying free entry to a future MVA show, and an annual grand prize of a New York City exhibition opportunity. Exhibition runs December 19, 2026 – January 16, 2027.
