Call for Solo or Group Exhibits 2027

Huron Valley Arts, a 501(c)(3) arts council serving Michigan's Huron Valley communities for over 25 years, is taking proposals for its 2027 gallery year in Steeple Hall, the exhibition space inside the historic Highland Station House. The call is open to all artists, groups and curators working in any traditional or non-traditional visual arts medium — photography is explicitly among the accepted media — with no restriction on genre, subject matter or content. Artists may apply individually or as a cohesive group through a designated leader. Those selected exhibit for roughly one to two months, and HVA provides advertising plus a 'Meet the Artist' wine and appetizer reception planned in collaboration with the artist. Applicants submit 8–20 images; up to four entries per artist. Hanging works are limited to 25 lbs and 48 inches in any direction, work must be hand-delivered, and unsold pieces collected in person; the gallery suggests pricing in the $100–$500 range, which sells best at the venue. The jury fee is $30, with scholarships available to waive it on request. Applying early is encouraged — HVA reserves the option of contracting with artists before the published notification date.
