Beyond The Surface: Exploring Above and Below

Hera Gallery — an artist-run cooperative in Wakefield, Rhode Island, founded in 1974 — invites work that makes the invisible visible, navigating the space between inner and outer worlds, the terrestrial and the cosmic. Seen from space, earth is a small blue dot where boundaries dissolve; the call asks where each artist's work sits within that spectrum, whether through a personal, public, spiritual or cosmic lens. All media welcome, 2D, 3D and video. Juror Lydia Jasper is Assistant Curator at MASS MoCA. Submission fees run on a sliding scale, honour system; the gallery takes no commission, so 100% of sales go to the artist. Exhibition runs October 17 – November 14, 2026.
