Archifoto 2026 — Architecture & Landscape

Archifoto is a European architectural photography competition founded in 2010 by La Chambre, the Strasbourg-based photography organization, in partnership with Maison Européenne de l'Architecture – Rhin supérieur. The competition is biennial and tied to the Les Journées de l'architecture festival in the Upper Rhine region.

The 2026 cycle is the 8th edition. The theme is "Architecture & Landscape" — the call invites photographs revealing complementarities or tensions between built and natural environments, exploring how they shape territories and communities amid climate and demographic change. Documentary and artistic approaches are equally welcome.

Five nominees are selected per edition. Each receives €500 plus exhibition at La Chambre in Strasbourg (4 place d'Austerlitz) in autumn 2026, with touring exhibitions across partner venues in the Upper Rhine region — meaning selected work appears across multiple French and German cities.

Eligibility is restricted to photographers based in Europe aged 18 and over. Entry fee is €10 per submission of up to 5 images. The 2026 deadline is June 1, 2026 at midnight; results announced June 2026.
