2026 Juried Exhibition

Annual all-media juried exhibition at Rawls Museum Arts, a non-profit museum founded in 1958 in Courtland, Virginia, dedicated to making the arts accessible through exhibitions, education and community outreach. $1,000 in total prize money: $500 first place, $300 second and $200 third. Artists of all ages are encouraged to apply. Work must be original and created without the aid of an instructor or kit; AI-generated work, or work derived in whole or part from AI, is not eligible. Entry is $35 for up to three submissions, one image per artwork. Pieces cannot exceed 50 pounds or 45 inches in the longest dimension, and all selected work must be hand-delivered — no shipping — by 2pm on 12 September 2026. Co-curated by museum staff with juror Allen TenBusschen, a contemporary realist painter who chairs the art department at the University of Lynchburg. Notifications by 15 August; exhibition runs 19 September – 23 October 2026, and the museum takes a 30% commission on sales.
