2026 International Portfolio Competition

Soho Photo Gallery is a photographer-run cooperative gallery in New York, founded in 1971 by photojournalists. It bills itself as the longest-running cooperative photography gallery in the city. The 2026 International Portfolio Competition is the gallery's annual portfolio-based prize.

The award structure is unusual: three solo exhibitions are awarded — three winners each receive a dedicated solo show at the gallery, rather than a single grand prize plus group runners-up.

Submitted portfolios must be 10–15 images with a consistent theme. AI may assist, but work must begin with a real photographic image — the gallery accepts AI-touched but not fully AI-generated work.

Eligibility is open to photographers 18+ globally. Submission is through CaFÉ. Fee is $60. The 2026 deadline was April 3.
