Texas Photographic Society (TPS) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit photography organization that has been running for over 44 years, with statewide membership and a year-round program of juried exhibitions. "Watershed" is the society's themed exhibition for 2026, exploring water as subject, symbol, tool, and essential aspect of life.

Cash prizes: $400 first place, $250 second, $150 third, plus up to 5 honorable mentions. Selected work is exhibited at Pool Gallery in Fort Worth, Texas from July 3 through 25, 2026, with a closing reception on July 25. TPS does not take a sales commission; artists retain all image rights, with TPS gaining perpetual promotional use of submitted images.

The 2026 cycle is juried by Luther Smith, photographic artist and Emeritus Professor of Art Photography at Texas Christian University. Smith's work is held in the collections of the Amon Carter Museum of American Art, the Library of Congress, the Dallas Museum of Art, and other major institutions.

Entry fees: TPS members $30 for 5 images ($5 each additional, max 12); non-members $40 for 5 images. A simultaneous membership-and-entry option costs $35.
