Tulsa Artist Fellowship 2027–2029
Tulsa Artist Fellowship is a residency-grant hybrid based in Tulsa, Oklahoma. The 2027–2029 cycle selects ten fellows from an open call, each receiving a fully funded three-year residency.
The financial package is unusually substantial: $150,000 project development stipend, $36,000 housing stipend, a fully subsidized private studio (337–583 sq ft), $3,600 studio assistant stipend, and $3,600 health and wellness stipend. Fellows also access shared facilities — ceramics studio, woodshop, metal equipment, media lab, archival printer, performance space, and podcast studio.
The trade is geographic: fellows must relocate to Tulsa for the full three-year term, January 2027 through December 2029. The fellowship is structured around community engagement — each project proposal must include a meaningful relationship with Tulsa or Oklahoma communities, not just studio time.
Eligibility requires applicants to be 25 or older with at least five years of experience in the arts. Open to U.S. citizens, permanent residents, O-1 visa holders, and Tribal ID holders.
Application is free, submitted through SlideRoom with 5–10 images. The 2027–2029 application opened April 7, 2026 and closed May 7. Results announced November 6, 2026.
