Texture of Light

Pro Photo DC is a Washington, DC photography organization. Texture of Light is one of its juried thematic exhibitions. The brief asks for photographs where light functions as a tactile, physical medium — work where light feels like material rather than illumination.

The brief specifies the registers it wants: surface tension on objects, atmospheric mass in fog or dust, the architecture of shadow, or abstract luminescence through long exposures and macro work.

Selected images are printed, matted, and framed for display at Western Market in Washington, DC. The exhibition opens May 2, 2026 — Pro Photo DC handles production for selected work.

Eligibility is open globally. Submission is by Google Form with up to 3 images. Application is free. The 2026 deadline was April 1.
