REBUILDING: Art as Renewal, Possibility, and Purpose

Juried exhibition at the Art League Rhode Island Gallery and Tiernan Hallway Gallery in Pawtucket, asking how art can restore what has been fractured — making whole what has been broken, empowering what has been silenced and reclaiming what connects us. The theme is not about loss but about what gets built next: how art can reassemble meaning, mend relationships and model balance in a world seeking repair. Open to any artist 18 or over, in all 2D and 3D media; 1–5 images plus an optional video, $35 entry with $10 per additional media file. Work must be original and previously unexhibited with ALRI, and anything conceived or created with generative AI is ineligible. Jurors are Kerry Phillips, a Miami-based installation artist working with found objects and site-responsive materials, and Meaghan Kent, independent curator, founder of the nonprofit Site95 and former Deputy Director at MOCA North Miami. Awards are $500 first, $300 second and $150 third, plus two honorable mentions and a People's Choice. Notification by 4 November; exhibition runs 5 December 2026 – 17 January 2027.
